About Julia

I love running and have been running all my adult life and have completed 75 marathons and ultras as well as numerous half marathons and 10ks. I have been keenly following sport and training science and developments for many years. Most recently, I have qualified as a UESCA Ultra running coach to make sure I have a solid all-round foundation. You can see read some of my musings about running on my blog

My journey

My personal journey brings with it a deep empathy and understanding for those who think they cannot run or find themselves struggling with it. I have been in those shoes, struggling with low self-esteem with regards to running, and despite this, have now completed 75 marathons and ultra marathons.

Post-partum

I have also come back to running after pregnancy, having a c-section and becoming a mother – it took me four years to run a marathon once again although I had completed 2 during pregnancy. As a younger person, I have also struggled with disordered eating and body image problems.

If you are looking to improve your running, I’d love to help you through my 1-2-1 coaching package. I will truly take the time to understand where you are coming from and how you ‘tick’ to help you on your journey. A coach can have many roles, but I see myself as helping you become the best runner you can be, given your individual circumstances. I have used different coaches myself so am familiar with what it means to have a coach as well as different coaching styles.

  • 1 off training plan for up to 16 weeks preparing you for a specific event taking into account your past training and circumstances
  • Initial and monthly consultation and feedback, including progress training adjustments as required
  • GBP 140 (one-off fee)

1-2-1 coaching

  • Ongoing training planning focused on key races and turning you into the best runner you can be
  • Unlimited WhatsApp and emails
  • Monthly 1-2-1 catch-up 
  • GBP 95 per month
